I'm new to Php and I'm stuck in this.

I need to make a category filter, which is selected with a checkbox. How could an orWhere do for each category?

I need something like:

$users = DB::table('users')
                 -> where ('category_id', 1)
                 -> orWhere ('category_id', 2)
                ...
                -> orWhere ('category_id', n)
                 -> get ();

you should use whereIn

$users = DB::table('users')
              ->whereIn("category_id" , [1,2,...,n])
              ->get();

use orWhere() in Eloquent, Hi all , I want to use orWhere() without using Query Builder and I want to return a collection in Query Builder we have : $users = DB::table('users. FatalErrorException in userController.php line 35: Call to undefined method I am trying to make a conditional where, inside a select statement. It is throwing undefined variable 'class_id'. What is going wrong here. The variable class_id got some value but is throwing 'Undefined variable: class_id'.

Use whereIn to get multiple id's

please pass proper use variable $users insted of $ users

edit your question like this

$users = DB::table('users')
                 ->where('category_id', 1)
                 -> orWhere ('category_id', 2)
                  ...
                 -> orWhere ('category_id', n)
                 -> get ();

Try THis

$users = DB::table('users')
              ->whereIn("category_id" , [1,2,...,n])
              ->get();

how to make orWhere undefined?, I\'m new to Php and I\'m stuck in this. I need to make a category filter, which is selected with a checkbox. How could an orWhere do for each category? I need Laravel provide orWhere() to use sql or query query. in or where() we just need to pass two argument one is column name and will be value. You can see bellow syntax on orWhere query in laravel: orWhere(Coulumn_name, Value); Now i will give you three example of how to use orWhere query in laravel application. So let's see those example how it works.

You have to use whereIn:

$users = DB::table('users')
                ->whereIn('id', [1, 2, 3])
                ->get();

Database: Query Builder - Laravel, The get method returns an Illuminate\Support\Collection containing the results style clause on your joins, you may use the where and orWhere methods on a join. The whereNull method verifies that the value of the given column is NULL : The Create Method. In addition to the save and saveMany methods, you may also use the create method, which accepts an array of attributes, creates a model, and inserts it into the database. Again, the difference between save and create is that save accepts a full Eloquent model instance while create accepts a plain PHP array:
