removing left/right padding on col-md-6 Bootstrap

bootstrap container
bootstrap offset-right

I have a site utilizing Bootstrap but I want to override the left and right padding on just the columns col-md-6 (set them to 0px). Not sure how to do it, my current set up is ...

css

.fix-gutters > [class^="col-"],
.fix-gutters > [class*=" col-"] {
  padding-right: 0px;
  padding-left: 0px;
}

and applying it to

<div id="main" class="row fix-gutters">

    .... <div class="col-md-6"> ... etc.

but that col-md-6 sometimes gets replaced (Wordpress loop) with a col-md-12 div and I don't want .fix-gutters to apply if that's the case.

NOTE: i need the override to happen on the same level as the col-md-6 command. example

<div class="col-md-6 overide-class">

This will target them for you: (will only make the change to elements inside the main div)

#main > .col-md-6{padding-right: 0; padding-left: 0;}

Spacing Bootstrap, Spacing utilities that apply to all breakpoints, from xs to xl , have no margin-left or padding-left; r - for classes that set margin-right or padding-right 0 - for classes that eliminate the margin or padding by setting it to 0; 1 - (by We've increased the .col padding with .px-md-5 and then counteracted that with .mx-md- n5 on Removed Default left right padding – minified code Standard no left right padding Individual classes to use specified tag for no left-right margin padding These class selectors are defined as short names eg: nlm = No Left Margin, nrm = No Right Margin

If you want to add another class, just add a class called no-padding.

Then, in your CSS, add:

.no-padding {
    padding-right: 0 !important;
    padding-left: 0 !important;
}

Or is this not what you mean?

Grid system Bootstrap, Each column has horizontal padding (called a gutter) for controlling the space you can remove the margin from rows and padding from columns with .no-gutters on <div class="row no-gutters"> <div class="col-12 col-sm-6 col-md-8">.col-12 divided evenly across padding-left and padding-right for the column gutters. B.L.o.w commented 4 months ago . I had the same issue, and using your method gave me a horizontal scroll I didn't bargain for.I used fluid on MDBContainer as shown and in the css, rather than targeting .container-fluid, I targetted .col instead.like so .col{ padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; } and it worked.

You can simply add an new class to what you are allready but specify it for col-md-6

See example Snippet at FullPage.

.fix-gutters > [class*="col-"],
.fix-gutters-six > [class*="col-md-6"] {

}
