#4045 (Datepicker -- Today button enhancement) – jQuery UI, The jQuery UI Datepicker is a highly configurable plugin that adds datepicker functionality to your pages. You can Use in conjunction with showOn equal to ' button' or 'both'. When true the current day link moves to the currently selected date instead of today. You can hide them altogether by setting this attribute to true. If today is not currently selected, the today button should not be greyed out and clicking it should snap the date picker to today. I would also suggest changing the outline of the date for today from blue to red, this will provide contrast to the user so they can see the difference between what is currently selected and what today's date is.

You can remove the button by setting the showButtonPanel to false, but this will remove all buttons. If you want to just remove the Today button, then you can use this snippet of code:

$('<style type="text/css"> .ui-datepicker-current { display: none; } </style>').appendTo("head");

This will append a style rule to your page that will set the Today button to have a display of none thereby hiding the button.

Today button in jQuery Datepicker doesn't work?, A short note on how to customize the jQuery UI datepicker. the datepicker which is called Done I only wanted the today button, so I had to provide beside the JavaScript or dynamic action some CSS to hide the second one:. @rmm5t couldn't get your example to work: "apply.daterangepicker" seem does not fire when choosing a date in a single datepicker. It only fires on button click, but there is no such button in single datepicker. UPDATE: I was wrong. Looks, I've caught an issue with "watch and rebuild automatically".
