UIColor does not support hex value directly. You need to convert that yourself. Something like this:

CGFloat r = (CGFloat)0x02 / 0xFF;
CGFloat g = (CGFloat)0x80 / 0xFF;
CGFloat b = (CGFloat)0x02 / 0xFF;

[UIColor colorWithRed:r green:g blue:b alpha:1.0]

How to set background color of a View, What you want to do is change the color of the existing background resource. You can set the hex-color to any resource with: View.setBackgroundColor(Color. That, in turn, refers to a bunch of nine-patch bitmap images, available in For setting the first color to be seen on screen, you can also do it in  The HASH command generates a file's hash value using the specified algorithm. The hash value is a unique value corresponding to the content of a file. If two files have the same hash value and they're using SHA256, SHA384, or SHA512, then they have the same content (regardless of their file names or locations). HASH will default to SHA256.

I've used next UIColor Category:

@implementation UIColor(Tools)

+ (UIColor *)colorWithHex:(NSInteger)hex alpha:(CGFloat)alpha {
    return [UIColor colorWithRed:((float)((hex & 0xFF0000) >> 16))/255.0 green:((float)((hex & 0xFF00) >> 8))/255.0 blue:((float)(hex & 0xFF))/255.0 alpha:alpha];
}

@end

// Example of Usage:
// backgroundView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithHex:0xe1e1e1 alpha:1.0];

There is no need to parse strings here.

I have also gotten to the point of finding a ROI (Region of Interest) but i dont know how i can be able to generate hash values from there.

android.widget.ImageView.setBackgroundColor java code , Create image view for display back side of flip view * * @param height height for view * @return ImageView with selected height and default background color  Testing different image hash functions For the image-ID component of the ISCC – that is, the content ID of image files – we need a hash function which, for minor changes to the file, produces an identical hash, or rather one that is as similar as possible while producing a small number of false positive collisions.

In swift you can use below method

func hexStringToUIColor (hex:String) -> UIColor {

    var cString:String = hex.trimmingCharacters(in: .whitespacesAndNewlines).uppercased()

    if (cString.hasPrefix("#")) {
        cString.remove(at: cString.startIndex)
    }

    if ((cString.count) != 6) {
        return UIColor.gray
    }

    var rgbValue:UInt32 = 0
    Scanner(string: cString).scanHexInt32(&rgbValue)

    return UIColor(
        red: CGFloat((rgbValue & 0xFF0000) >> 16) / 255.0,
        green: CGFloat((rgbValue & 0x00FF00) >> 8) / 255.0,
        blue: CGFloat(rgbValue & 0x0000FF) / 255.0,
        alpha: CGFloat(1.0)

How to set background color for android layout pragmatically using , Every layout file has a parent View i.e. RelativeLayout, LinearLayout, e.t.c. that holds the sub views like Buttons, TextView, EditText, ImageView e.t.c together. CSS Image Opacity / Transparency, The opacity property specifies the opacity/transparency of an element. The following example sets the opacity for the background color and not the text:. Use the Image control to display any valid image supported by the requesting browser on the Web page. The path to the displayed image is specified by setting the ImageUrl property.
