Hello i created a game with emoji below is my code its working fine.

Building on Patrick's answer, You seem to just immediately post the result, when what you want to do instead is post the wheels spinning and then edit it into the results

to do that you would want to just do a basic loop running for however long you want to spin for. Every time it loops, you would edit the message (.edit) to change the emojis there. Hope that helps.

Here you go lad, im a fucking autistic coder but this does work 100% its running on my bot right now, hope it helps, (and yes bots have perms to use animated emojis but because u dont u need to go to the emoji selector in discord after adding it to your custom emoji list and then do ctrl+shift+i to inspect element and pull the ID for it which u need to define it, you can see examples of animated emoji definition inside my source code, Enjoy :) (idk how to make it post to be python so if it looks stupid idk try copy paste it otherwise contact me and I can just send u the file with it inside.)

  • @Patrick Haugh the <a...> syntax is the simplest way to add them to a message, Plus in /async, which is what OP is using, discord.Emoji doesn't even differentiate animated from regular emoji.
  • @Demotry yeah, that's the kind of code you'd add into your command function.

  • Read the comments. You will need to create an animated emote for the bot to use, then substitute in the ID of that emote. You can see an emote's ID by prefixing it with a \\ before posting it to chat, e.g. \:ablobcatbounce: would post <a:ablobcatbounce:EMOTE_ID> and that's what you need to paste in.
  • Well, it's pretty simple. When the command is called, you would send a message with the three emojis. Then after that you would do a loop in which under you would randomly create combinations. You would create a new embed with those random emojis and edit the old one with the new one. I'm assuming you are using async so if you need help, use the async docs or the rewrite docs

  • No, I've never done this before (And I don't have Nitro). I would recommend breaking this into two experiments: displaying the animated cycling emoji, potentially from a different server, and editing the embed to freeze them in their final positions.

  • You need to make 3 seperate edits. One edit to show [1] [?] [?], a second for [1] [2] [?] and then a final third edit to show all 3 emotes stopped. e: 2 seperate edits since your slot machine only has 2 wheels.
