And this is my CSS file, I have tried different applications and have followed numerous tutorials step by step and still I can't find anything that has fixed my problem.

You have specified the style.css to be in the same folder as your HTML file, so ensure that is true.

In your CSS you also have a colon where you should have a semicolon in the first property -

body {
    font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;
    [...]
}

Also try background-color: #F00 to really see if it's not linked - it could be that you just can't see the light grey that you set your background to on your monitor.

Found the answer! Again, it's a typo in your CSS file,

body { font-family: Calibri, sans-serif: font-size:15px; line-height:1.5; padding:0; margin:0; background-color: #f4f4f4; }

The important part is font-family: Calibri, sans-serif:. Classic developer typo. The end of it is a : instead of a ;. Now, normally on websites, it tries to keep continuing, which is why everyone says it works. On some sites/browsers, it completely stops loading it up.

Replacing the first line of your css correctly, should make it work.

If it's not that, then it's probably a error with your computer, maybe you don't have the right permissions to host .css files?

Anyways, it's working for me. Probably most likely the typo in the code
